Speaker: Maria Husmann

Maria leads the Web of Things team that is part of the pre-development group of Siemens Smart Infrastructure Building Products. She also teaches creative web engineering in the Digital Ideation Bachelor program at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU). She has always had a passion for ubiquitous computing and finds the intersection of the physical and the digital world particularly interesting. Previously, she worked for a small Swiss company on traffic control software used on tunnels all over Switzerland.

Maria has a BSc, MSc and Dr. in Computer Science from ETH. She was part of the Global Information Systems Group working at the intersection of web engineering, distributed systems and human-computer interaction.
