Dear Expert

We want to clearly state what VIScon is about and what we’d like to see. Our vision will help you to identify if this is a mission you support and if it aligns with your own. Please make sure to read it before entering your submission.

Last year we concentrated on introducing more interdisciplinary talks and opening the symposium to all kinds of listeners. Next to continuing what we began last year, this year we will be paying special attention to:

• Submissions about how to make tomorrow better than today with the help of IT. For example your submission can address ways to keep our planet livable longer, focus on making the lives of people with disabilities easier or make education more accessible but is not only limited to those matters.


• Having a strong female representation in this year’s schedule. We would like to see more female experts sharing their work and what they are currently excelling in.


• Talks that dive deeper into your field of excellence. We want to see something that is usually hidden behind lab doors. Don’t be scared of submitting something that might sound too technical or specialized. Your audience will mostly consist of detail-loving students, that want to know it all.
